Valentine’s Day “Trolley Gras”

Trolley Gras was a huge success Valentine’s evening.
And here’s the photos to prove it:

Thanks to Portland Trolley for taking us around NW 21st and 23rd, through the Pearl, over to Tapalaya on 28th and Burnside and winding up at the Imperial Bottle Shop and Tap Room on SE 30th and Division.

We handed out plenty of beads and candy, met a few folks from Louisiana, delighted, surprised and confused many people out on the street!

Ride along with this video!

Look for Mysti Krewe members on Valentine’s evening on a Portland Trolley mobile party! They’ll be in costume and handing out plenty of beads, candy and throws to publicize the upcoming Ball!

Look for them around 8 – 10 pm in the Pearl, NW 23rd, by Powells books on Burnside and across the river!

It’s an homage to New Orlean’s Phunny Phorty Phellows and their annual Twelth Night Trolley Ride to bring in Carnival Season. The Phorty Phellows tradition goes back to 1878!
